Privacy Policy

Zaban helps you learn the language your family speaks. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@speakzaban.com.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email, age, avatar and, if you choose, Google or Apple sign-in identifiers.
  • Learning data: your onboarding answers, lessons, exercise answers, XP, streaks and flashcards.
  • Voice recordings you submit in speaking exercises, used only to check your pronunciation.
  • Billing details handled by Polar (web), Apple or Google. We never see your full card number.
  • Usage and device data, including advertising identifiers and cookies (for example Meta and TikTok pixels, PostHog analytics and Sentry error reports).

How we use it

  • To run your account, save your progress and personalise lessons.
  • To process payments, trials, refunds and cancellations.
  • To send reminders and learning tips if you opted in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
  • To measure which ads bring learners to Zaban and to fix bugs.

Children

Sign-up for children under 13 is paused until we have a parental consent process. If you believe a child under 13 created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can download, correct or delete your data. Deleting your account from Account settings removes your profile, progress and translations. Store subscriptions must also be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.

Retention and security

We keep data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of account deletion, except where the law requires us to keep billing records. Data is stored in the United States and protected in transit and at rest.
